International media trainings for young NGO activists in Ossmannstedt/Germany 20-27 March 2010 - places free of charge available

Four organisations from Belarus, Germany, Poland and the Ukraine are joining forces to promote the huge potential which internet, laptop, mobile phone & Co. are offering to grassroot initiatives. In a series of three media trainings taking place in all three countries, NGO representatives will be shown how to use the new media to reach an audience and have an impact on society. The first event will take place in Germany and will deal with the issues of generating, editing and publishing content in audio format, with the possibilities of the present-day internet (Web 2.0) and with PR and communication strategies in general.

The event will begin in the evening of 20 March 2010 (Saturday) and end in the morning of 27 March 2010 (Saturday). Costs for accommodation, food and tuition are fully covered by the organisers. Travel costs to and from Ossmannstedt should be borne by the participants as an own contribution. However, for those who are not from Germany a partial refund (appr. 2/3 of the ticket price for cheap transport) will be possible, if necessary. The other two separate events will take place on 12-19 June 2010 in Elbląg (Poland) and on 25 September – 2 October 2010 in Lugansk (Ukraine).

How to apply: Please use the questionnaire that is available together with this information leaflet in order to apply for participation in the first media training. The closing date for applications for this first event is 15th February 2010. Further instructions are given in the questionnaire itself.
